I still stop by from time to time.

But if no one is still using this site and if its costing money to keep up maybe its time to let it go. :/

I still pop on every once and a while. Though, it doesn't seem like anyone else does other than Gungii I guess! I will say this... I really miss FFXI and the type of MMO that it was up until ToAU. Unfortunately with the current generation's need for instant gratification and total aversion to anything requiring more than a moment's attention I doubt that we'll ever see anything akin to FFXI again. I do think that WoW ruined MMO's because it became so big that the only thing any other company can do is try to copy it's formula. Don't get me wrong, FFXI had a lot of problems that could and should have been addressed, but for all of it's problems, the overall experience was still fantastic. I can only dream of what a modernized version could be (and no, FFXIV is not anything close to a modernized FFXI unfortunately).

Pirin hit the nail on the head. I've bounced around to several MMOs and IMO nothing compares to FFXI. The friends I made in FFXI I will remember forever (much like the friends I made while serving in the Army).

Efforts are underway to keep these forums active into the future. Although they may go down for a short period while being moved, please be patient and come back to visit from time to time.

I'm still here! It's incredibly sad to hear about Brytor and hard to believe... I hadn't talked to him in a long time;p the last time being since when I made a character on FFXIV on that server to chat with some old LoA people. I'm glad to see that the forum's will maybe stay alive. It's amazing to see the how far reaching someone's life can have, even if many never meet in real life. It has been amazing seeing so many old faces and hearing from so many people that used to play together in the wake of the horrible news.

My PSN name is Pirindirin if anyone wants to add me. Same for Battlenet. I am mainly playing Monster Hunter World currently and occasionally hop on for Diablo 3 seasons.

I hope the servers are able to be preserved and look forward to talking to whomever may still visit.
